BACKGROUND:

Cluster Standards and Open Space in Rural Areas are two of the six issues studied as part of the Comprehensive Plan process. The strategies were identified as part of a six-month process in early 2022, with the committees comprised of residents appointed by the Board of Commissioners. These strategies are a combination of new programs, boards, policies, and development ordinance revisions. The Board of Commissioners is asked to provide guidance to staff on which strategies to initiate work towards implementation, as well as provide additional information at future Board meetings about any specific strategy in question.
