ACTION REQUESTED:
1) Accept the low bidder, authorize award of the construction contract to Dawn Development Company, Inc. in the amount of $1,963,445.50, 2) authorize the County Manager to negotiate and execute an agreement substantially consistent with this agenda item, 3) adopt Resolution Providing Notice of the FY2021 Short Water Line Extension - Phase B Project Construction, 4) accept the scope of engineering services for construction administration as shown in the attached Task Order 2021-07 with W.K. Dickson & Co., Inc. in the amount of $112,300.00, and 5) authorize the County Manager to execute an agreement substantially consistent with this agenda item.
PRIOR BOARD ACTIONS:
1) January 4, 2021, Regular Meeting, Agenda Item # 8 - Approved W.K. Dickson Task Order 2017-17 for engineering design services.
2) December 6, 2021, Regular Meeting, Agenda Item # 21-489 - Approved W.K. Dickson Task Order 2017-17 Amendment #1 for additional engineering design services for survey, geotechnical borings, subsurface utility locate work, and easement map preparation.
3) May 15, 2023, Regular Meeting, Agenda Item # 23-272 - Approved W.K. Dickson Task Order 2017-17 Amendment #3 for additional engineering design services for modification of drawings, preparation of easement negotiation sketches, and easement staking.
BACKGROUND:
The Short Water Line Extensions Program, as adopted by the Board of County Commissioners, includes an allocation of $5,000,000 for the FY2021 Short Water Line Extension project.
