ACTION REQUESTED:
1) Accept the low bidder, authorize award of the contract to Hoss Contracting, Inc. in the amount of $768,450.00, 2) authorize the County Manager to negotiate and execute an agreement substantially consistent with this agenda item, and 3) adopt resolution providing notice of the Main Library Exterior Renovation project.

BACKGROUND:
The existing exterior metal architectural panels at the Main Library are aged and the finish is badly worn. A project to replace the metal panels, trim, coping and some gutters is included in the Facilities CIP. The exterior renovation will include the demolition and replacement of all the metal panels to match, in color, those recently installed during the Board of Elections project.
On November 8, 2023, the Procurement Division partnered with Facilities Management to issue an Invitation for Bids, IFB #2024-014. On December 13, 2023, four (4) bids were received and processed for the titled project. All bids were tabulated, reviewed and certified by Creech and Associates. The bids ranged from $768,450.00 to $1,388,438.00; staff recommends the project be awarded to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder, Hoss Contracting, Inc., in the amount of $768,450.00.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
Funding is available within the adopted capital account - Main Library Replace Metal Architectural Panels, 40080156, to support the construction contract amount of $768,450.00.
